How do I find my soul purpose?
Somewhere between your everyday life and the one you sense is waiting for you, there is a longing.
It is this longing that makes you look for signs. Read books. Take courses. All the while, you wait. Maybe for years. You wait for certainty; a way to trust what you sense.
You get glimpses of who you are and what you are here to be, but it always feels just out of reach. Maybe you think you are imagining it.
Probably you feel resistance to following this unknown path. This could take the form of:
· Fears that you wouldn’t be good at your purpose
· Fears you wouldn’t make enough money at it
· Fears about being too visible
· Fears about what and who you might have to leave behind if you live your soul’s purpose.
You know it exists – your true purpose – but what is it? Where is it? And how do you find it?
Knowing your purpose feels important. Something in you wants to make an impact – in the way only you can.
Your soul is the key that opens the lock to knowing yourself, your purpose and why you are here.
Because your soul is the aspect of you that holds both your divinity and your humanity together, to live your divine purpose here on Earth, you need to begin to know your soul, and live from it.
The bruises and bumps of life, the wounds you have experienced; all of these have meaning. They have a sacredness
How are our wounds sacred?
They allow us to hone and polish our most beautiful qualities; our humanity.
Our wounds allow us to be born again. They offer the opportunity for us to descend into their depths and open to the truth; to something more sacred. It is in our wounds that we can find the truth of who we are, and glimpse becoming that.
(Note: I am not glorifying wounds, or trauma. I am not saying you should be grateful for them. I am just saying – this is often how it is).
As you explore the shipwreck of your dreams, you just might find that the hold is full of gold and jewels. Sunken treasures.
The simple answer to all of this: your purpose is just to be yourself: you, free of the conditioning of society, the culture, your family and friends.
So your purpose really is within.
That longing you feel is life calling you to awaken – to become who you really are.
When you are you, your particular way of making an impact in the world (what you might call a job) – will find you. Its call becomes urgent, and inevitable.
If you remain open, you will be led to opportunities, courses, places, or people that will gently make adjustments, little movements here and there – that will help you to make your unique contribution to the world.
